Emergency Electrician in Los Angeles

Some problems should not wait. Sparking outlets, a burning smell, a hot panel or a partial power loss can point to a fault that gets worse.

Call 911 first if

There is smoke, fire, or someone has had an electrical shock. Electrical work comes after everyone is safe.

Call LADWP if

Power lines are down, or your whole street is out. Downed lines are the utility's job, and you should stay well away from them.

Before the electrician arrives

Turn off the affected breaker if it is safe to reach. Unplug devices on that circuit, and do not reset a breaker that trips again right away.

Questions

Is a flickering light an emergency?

Usually not, but flickering across several rooms, or with buzzing or heat, should be checked soon.

Half my house has no power. Why?

Often a tripped main or a problem at the panel or service. Check the panel first, then call for help if nothing has tripped.
